Mathew laughed as he began to help her walk. "Killing someone for getting hurt. That's funny." They managed to get to a healer who was not too far and Mathew paid the man for his services. "I'm glad you are better now." Mathew said when it was finished. "Should we head back to your home."

Amatersaru stretched a little, and yawned cutely. "I don't want to head back just yet. People will expect us to head back so soon," She paused slightly then continued: "I killed about 15 people. We need to lay low. We will contact Heer Suzumiya soon enough." She turned and began walking out towards the forest. Walking quickly she pointed out towards the forest. "I have a cabin hidden in this forest for this type of thing. We should be safe there, though, you don't have to come if you do not want to..." She stopped right before the entrance to the forest and awaited his answer.

Chapter 2: The Journey Begins
{This chapter focuses on the characters leaving Izendor to find someone who can teach Mathew Welpe how to read the second chapter in the book.}
Mathew smiled and was about to come when he stopped suddenly changing to a serious expression. "The book is still at the Heer's place... Those villagers? Did you get to see their faces? They could still be alive... And could be heading there to get that book... We must get it before them." He turned away from her and the forest. "I believe the priest killed those people and made them into Gezien Diener which if I'm right could mean that we are in major trouble." He turned back to her and held her hands in his. "If I'm right then we must get that book and find someone who can read the second chapter. Someone who can teach me more of the alchemy in the book. The Adogen may be someone very dangerous. We must stop him by finishing that book. It is the only way." Mathew then picked her up and started running towards her home before she could even react. "There is no time to talk they could be killing the Heer as we speak looking for the book."

Ammy squeeked loudly as he picked her up. "Fantastic..." She cradled her head in her hands as he ran. "I agree, we can stop and pick up some weapons there too before we depart from Izendor." Flicking her tail she continued on. "Hey, Mathew if you don't mind me by asking what exactly is Gezien Diener? I'm not up to speed on the old language. Pardon my ignorance for the moment."

"Gezien Diener are undead corpses brought back to life through a ritual to serve the summoner. Unfortunately for us that summoner is the Adogen. They cannot die through normal means, they only temporarily become inactive till their body regenerates. Slicing them into pieces and keeping all pieces in separate containers has been the best solution for those who do not have the knowledge on how to eliminate them through alchemy... Turns out that alchemy technique was in the first chapter... Along with a technique to make them multiply..." Mathew replied. When they reach there they found the door open. Mathew scanned the area then placed her down gently... "Seems I was correct..." He said heading towards the door.

"Oh.." She replied, but was certainly speechless. Her ears perked up as she heard movement about in the castle. "You head in through the front. I'll survey the back." She took off before he could even answer. Hiding low in the bushes she could see the Adogen in the Heer's office rummaging through the bookcases and drawers. "He's getting very close. Where is Heer Suzumiya?" She continued to watch closely.

Mathew went in the front door as she zoomed off. He knew where he had left the book so he quickly sneaked through the castle straight to the library. In the library were two Gezien Dieners in hooded cloaks ripping books off the shelves. I must stop them without alerting the others Mathew thought to himself then he got an idea. He pulled some white gloves out of his pocket with some sort of circular symbols on the top of each glove. He quickly got the gloves on and placed his hands against the wall. He then started to do different finger positions while keeping two fingers on each hand always touching the wall. It took him thirty seconds to do all the positions but success greeted him with a flash of light... Then suddenly chunks of the ceiling fell on the Gezien Diener knocking them unconscious.
He quickly took off the gloves and shoved them into his pockets as he went into the room and grabbed the book from underneath one of the desks hidden out of sight. He then pulled out the right hand glove and placed it on, walked over to each and every Gezien Diener and broke into the back of each one's skull with two fingers. He twisted his fingers in their skulls and finished with spitting on them when pulling out his fingers. Then they all had burst into flames when he left the room catching everything on fire.
Mathew ran back in shocked. "Oh no!" He shouted placing his hands on his head. "I forgot they burst into flames when destroyed through alchemy!" He shouted flailing his head around. He then took off the glove and bolted out of the library and through some halls till he reached Ammy's room. He swung open the door in a panic to find five Gezien Diener rummaging through her stuff. "Oops wrong room." He says jokingly before they bolt towards him.
Mathew jumps backwards dodging the lead one who fell leaping at him. He then boots him right in the head as the others poor out to his sides. Mathew steps back quickly and the others charge forward with the two far side ones reaching out to grab him as they run and the two inner side ones swinging with force towards him. Mathew leans back dodging the swings just barely as they cross past him and reaches out to the necks of the outer two as they grab his arms he crushes their throats dropping them instantly. Just as they drop he instantly wraps his arms around the two's necks, who missed with their punches, and tries to choke them out... But suddenly twenty more poor around him from out of no where. Six of them pry him off the two but it is too late as those two collapse in their temporary death. Those six then hold him as he struggles and as the others begin to beat on him. He then gets one arm free and starts swinging at them knocking a few off their feet and manages to break free and then exchanges blows with the large group as they attacking, landing a few on the group but taking a lot more. Mathew kept fighting even though it was obvious his was going to lose.

Ammy couldn't see the Heer, but there were sounds coming from behind her. She turned around to see two Gezien Dieners patrolling the grounds. She freaked out and quickly ran towards the mansion and scaling the side of the building. Finally she reached the window of the Heer's office. The Adogen stopped suddenly and looked at her with a puzzled look.
"HELLO!" She waved with a cheeky smirk on her face as she made her way to the roof. The Gezien spotted her and began climbing after her. "Uh oh!" Panic began to settle in. "Freaking zombies. Always ME!" She hurried right up to the roof as fast as her body let her. Frantically she surveyed the roof for something of use. There was rope by the ventilation system. "What an odd place to keep rope. Oh well!" Clutching it hard she tied it around the shaft and began to climb down.
Soon the Geziens had caught up with her. One slid down the shaft after her as the other cut the rope. Falling quickly the Gezien landed a swift kick to her abdomen. "GAH!" She gasped hard and punched him in the face. Taking a glance down she could see a hallway. It was a straight shot down the ventilation shaft to the hallway, but there was a grate blocking her path.
"This is going to hurt isn't it..." She braced herself as she hit the grate and both of them crashed into the hallway.

Everyone suddenly paused and looked towards Ammy. Mathew looked at her then one of them then took advantage of the moment with a swift kick to one's jaw and then the rest began exchanging blows with him again ignoring her.

The Geizen on top of her tried to punch her but she quickly flung him against the wall. "No, It's cool! Don't help me up or anything!" She jumped to her feet and began to help him fight off the others.

Mathew didn't say anything till they were done with the Gezien Diener then he placed his glove on and began finishing them off. When done he grabbed her quickly and got far away from the corpses before they had burst into flames. He then stopped and let her go and sat down. "The castle is on fire... We must find the Heer if he is still alive... Then we must get out of here, and Izendor, and foil the Adogen's plans..." He looked around quickly and then back to her. "Is there anything special in the underground floors of this castle? Like secret escape passages?"

"Of course there are, built em' myself." She hip checked the wall right beside her and a passage way opened up to a dark, dank and musty cellar. "The passages are all connected my friend, let's hurry." Grabbing the banister of the staircase and sliding down she ran to the right as fast as she could. "Please, please be alive.." Ammy led Mathew through the twists and turns of the mazes when they had finally reached the Heer's room, she thrust open the door. The Adogen was no where to be found, but there was a bloody mess. Feeling the tears welling up in her eyes she ran behind the Heer's desk. There he lay. Slain in is own manor. She covered her mouth and tried not to cry. Crawling over to him she reached into his shirt and pulled out a necklace with a red snake skin dragon charm. Clasping it gently she planted one last kiss onto the Heer's cheek. "May you rest in peace Lord..." She got up and ran back to Mathew. "Quickly, back into the passage. The Adogen could still be here."

Mathew grabbed her by the shoulders and looked her in the eye. "I'm sorry that he died but we must not stay seeking revenge, the manor is on fire and we must leave as quickly as possible." He then let go of her and turned to the passage. "Besides we have the book so he will be coming to us soon enough. So will you please lead the way out of this place."

She smiled and nodded. "I'll mourn later, let's go Mat." Running back into the passage way she led him once again through the twists and turns of the underground. Finally once they reached the end of the passage, they were in the middle of a lush, green forest teeming with life.

Once they got to the lush, green forest teeming with life, he sat down by a tree and pulled the book out of his shirt. "I should report back to HQ, if you would like to join me I'll be heading South East to Bundesland. It is a long journey and we will have to make stops in small towns along the way but the great city of Bundesland is worth the trip." Mathew then tucked the book away and stretched as he stood up. He smiled walking over to her. "We should get some food and supplies quickly from town then head South East to the small town Blut Demijne."
